Interesting Read September 5, 2008 This true story of Don Piper being medically dead for ninety minutes and then living again is one that probably interests both those who claim to be religious as well as those who profess to be nonreligious. The description of his heavenly visit covers only a small portion of the book; the bulk of the book deals with what follows the car crash and his 90 minute sojourn in heaven. The book is a well written narrative about Don's medical and physical trials and triumphs after the accident. The book's greatest message is one of survival and recovery through faith, hope and gritty determination. The writing of Cec Murphey and Don Piper make this a strong, interesting read.

Amazing and Encouraging!! A must read!! May 3, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I read numerous books and rarely write reviews for them. This book however, was inspiring and encouraging!! It's beautifully written and quite believable. I talk about it with anyone who has a loved one dying or has died to encourage them. Do yourself a favor and read this book.

I don't know what to say, other than - this story has the ring of authenticity. I haven't checked out his facts - and frankly, I picked up his book with a good bit of healthy skepticism. So many people have attempted to make a quick buck off of the spiritual gullibility of others. But based on my understanding of Scripture and my own internal "truth meter," I walked away from this book thinking to myself, "This man may have actually been given a glimpse of heaven." I can see this book providing genuine comfort to those who have lost Christian loved ones...and unspeakable encouragment to those who are themselves facing death.
